Terms of Service

stipplehub is a service for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account or use any feature. Every entry to the service is gated by an age confirmation; misrepresenting your age is a violation of these terms and grounds for immediate termination.

You may not use stipplehub if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country, state, or province. Where local law prohibits adult content entirely, you must not use the service.

You authenticate via Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your email, password, and any third-party login (Google, etc.) secure. Activity that originates from your account is treated as your activity. Tell us at hello@stipplehub.com immediately if you believe your account is compromised.

You must give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe contain false information.

stipplehub generates illustrations from text prompts (and optional reference images) using AI image-generation models. The outputs are produced on demand by GPU compute we run; we do not curate a static catalog of pre-made images.

We may change, add, or remove features at any time, including changing which models are available, adjusting per-credit cost, or retiring features that prove unsafe. We will not retroactively shorten paid subscription windows or invalidate purchased credit packs because of a feature change.

What is allowed: generating illustrations of fictional, drawn characters, including adult content, in any artistic style we support.

What is prohibited, with zero tolerance:

• Sexual content involving minors, in any style or framing. Any prompt that targets minors is rejected at the policy layer; attempts to evade detection (obfuscated prompts, adversarial spellings) result in immediate, permanent account closure and may be reported to authorities.
• Sexual or sexualised content depicting real, identifiable people without their explicit consent — public figures, private individuals, named celebrities, friends, family, classmates, coworkers.
• Content that promotes, instructs, or glorifies violence, self-harm, or illegal acts against real people.
• Content that infringes a third party's copyright, trademark, or other IP rights, including prompts that target a protected character or mark to bypass licensing.
• Using the service to harass, dox, defame, or impersonate another person.
• Automated abuse: flooding the API beyond your tier's rate limits, sharing credits with parties who have not paid, scraping the gallery, or running denial-of-service traffic.

Our full content rules are at the Content Policy page. Violations of any rule may result in content removal, credit forfeiture, account suspension, or permanent termination.

You own the images you generate, subject to applicable law. We do not claim copyright in your outputs. AI-generated content has unsettled legal status in some jurisdictions (e.g. parts of the United States and the European Union); we make no guarantee that your generated image qualifies for copyright protection where you live.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your generated images for the purpose of operating the service (showing them back to you, including them in your private library, etc.). If you opt in to public gallery publication, you also grant us a licence to display the image publicly until you remove it.

You are responsible for the prompts you submit and the use you make of the resulting images. If you publish or sell a generated image, you do so under your own responsibility.

Generations consume credits. You acquire credits via:

• The free tier (a small monthly budget granted at no cost).
• A paid subscription, which grants a monthly credit budget that rolls over for one billing period before expiring.
• A one-time credit pack, which adds credits to your balance that never expire.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancellation is instant — you will not be charged again, and credits already granted remain valid through their expiry date. We do not pro-rate or refund unused subscription credits on cancellation.

Pack credits do not expire. If we ever shut the service down, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to refund unused pack credits at the price you paid for them.

We may change pricing for new subscriptions and packs at any time. Existing subscribers keep their current price for at least 30 days after we publish a price change.

If a generation fails because of a system fault on our side, we automatically refund the credit. You do not need to ask.

If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us at hello@stipplehub.combefore initiating a chargeback. We resolve most disputes within 24 hours. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

Buyer's remorse refunds for unused subscription periods and unused pack credits are evaluated case by case. Pack credits never expire, so we generally encourage holding them.

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. Closure stops future billing and starts the data deletion process described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or our Content Policy, or if your continued access creates a legal or operational risk to the service. We will normally notify you of the reason; for severe violations involving illegal content, we may terminate without notice and notify the appropriate authorities.

On termination, unused credits are forfeited unless we have terminated for our own convenience (in which case we will refund pack credits at the price you paid).

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the generated images will meet your aesthetic, commercial, or any other expectations. AI image generation is probabilistic; the same prompt can produce different outputs on different runs.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of business opportunity, even if we knew or should have known about the possibility.

We may revise these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be announced by email to your registered address with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a material change means you accept the revised terms.
